In April We Celebrate Earth Day and Trashion

This month, around the country we celebrate Earth Day.  This year in honor of Earth Day, we put together a series of Trashion (Trash + Fashion) workshops for kids to enjoy.  In our first workshops we will explore Plarn.  Plarn is plastic yarn.  We cut plastic bags into strips and knit with it.

This isn't the easiest thing to knit with and if you are a new knitter, it may be difficult, however it is pretty cool.  I suggest you use at least size 8 needles.  In our photos we knit a little bag.
