The Joys of Handwork Camp
June 16th marked the start of our three camp programs. I can't tell you how wonderful it feels to see kids 4-16 creating and crafting all day long. They come at 9:00 am, some leave at 1:00, others at 3:00 but regardless of the time they get picked up, they always want to stay longer. It does my heart good!
If you don't have a Handwork Studio near you, I encourage you to go to your local craft store, or knitting shop or sewing store and see what they offer for kids. The confidence and satisfaction these kids get from making toys, dolls, clothes and more is really something to see. Trust me, you both will love it. Actually, you might love it so much you'll be inspired to start a project of your own! Make handwork part of your child's summer...and yours! Happy crafting.
