Lemonade Days is Your Chance to Make a Difference

I know Alex as the sweetest, strongest, most intuitive child that I was lucky enough to knit with for a short time before her passing.  In that short time she had a profound effect on my life and her spirit continues to influence many of my decisions today. 

We are coming up on Lemonade Days, the first weekend in June, where lemonade stands around the country will come together this one weekend to raise money for Alex's Lemonade Stand Foundation.  The foundation is funding important research that I know will one day play a key role in finding a cure for cancer.  The goal is to have 2000 stands worldwide, right now there are 1500 stands registered.  I encourage you to get together with the children in your community and empower them to be a part of this movement.  I think we often forget how powerful children can be and all that they are capable of doing.  Alex is a wonderful example of that strength.  Let's honor her and her life's work and host a stand!..Please
