Giving Thanks

This year, we at MyHandworkStudio.com are most thankful. First, we are thrilled with the opportunity to reach so many kids who love to craft. I took great pride in these kids.....my kids, who transformed "holey" pieces of knitting into beautiful purple penguins or birds sitting on needle felted nests with eggs.

Googlie Eyes-How Far I've Fallen

Googlie Eyes-How Far I've Fallen

When I first got into this business, I was what you might call a purist. All my materials had to be natural, no faces on the animals.......children were to use their imagination and the thought of goolie eyes was unimaginable. However in closing my classes last week and watching a mouse with the largest googlie eyes go out the door, I giggled at myself for some of my original ideas.
