Last Friday and yesterday, we held a President's Day Camp. Each day we had around 20 kids making all kinds of fun projects from Valentines' Day crafts, to Mardi Gras masks and the creatures you see in our pictures.

Today we were fortune to host a wonderful event for the Pennsylvania Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. One of our studio families, Ilene Wellner brought the idea of making a quilt to us. At the Studio we held a two hour event where kids and parents came to the studio to make squares for this quilt that will be auctioned at the Good Dog Gala on February 21, 2009 to raise money for the PSPCA. Nothing goes better with needle arts and kids than dogs. I always say, if I wasn't teaching the world needle arts, I'd be saving dogs! What better way to spend the afternoon than combining my two favorite things.

It was an exciting Saturday when 17 of our 30 Fashion Boot Camp graduates participated in Christine Phillips annual Fashion Show at The National Constitution Center. The girls, who attended our Fashion Bootcamp's three week summer camp program last summer, had an opportunity to model one of their designs from their collection. The girls were excited, the teachers were proud and me.....well I just couldn't be happier!
