Well, ok so it wasn't quite the dog days of summer when we went to NYC on our fashion field trip. Actually, it was a magnificently beautiful day, however, everywhere we went, there were dogs! Nicole Miller had dogs. Bryant Park obviously had dogs. Mood Fabrics... more dogs. But the day was anything but a dog!

Yesterday we spent the day at the Main Line Today Community Festival and Iron Hill Bike Race in West Chester PA. There were tons of people, lots of food, things to do and beautiful weather. We were there with a craft table, working with kids and talking to parents. Once again, everyone loved what we were doing with kids and wished we could be in their community. Thank goodness we now have the website!

Well, Miss Julia, Miss Elaine and I just got back from the National Needle Arts Association tradeshow in Columbus this past weekend. When you think of needle arts, I'm guessing you think of your quaint local yarn shop and dream of owning a sweet simple business like that one day. Well, let me tell you, 18 rows of vendors, thousands of people, jobs I'd never heard of and more products than you thought possible....that is TNNA.

One of my life's most rewarding experiences was getting to know Alexandra Flynn Scott. You may know Alex from Alex's Lemonade Stand, a little girl who at the age of 4 decided to raise money for cancer research. Today, several years after her passing, her foundation has gone on to raise $19 million dollars.
